Nepenthes Tenax (From Latin: tenax "tenacious") is a lowland species of tropical pitcher plant native to Northern Queensland, Australia. It is the third Nepenthes species recorded from the continent and its second endemic species. Nepenthes tenax is closely related to the two other Australlian Nepenthes species: N.mirables and N.rowaniae.
Nepenthes tenax grows to a height of around 100 cm with pitchers rarely exceeding 15 cm. The stem is usually self-supporting. In its natural habitat, it is sympatric with N. mirabilis and N. rowaniae. Simple and complex natural hybrids involving both of these species have been found. Its Scientific name is Nepenthes tenax this plant Order is Caryophyllales rank depend on spaces and its Kingdom Plantae.

Distribution:

Nepenthes mirabilis has by far the widest distribution of any Nepenthes species and is known from the following countries and regions: Australia, Borneo, Cambodia, Caroline Islands, china, D'Entrecasteaux Islands, Java, Laos, Louisiade Archipelago, Maluku Islands, Myanmar, New Guinea, Peninsular Malaysia, Philippines, Sulawesi, Sumatra, Thailand, and Vietnam. It has also been recorded from many smaller islands, including Babi, Bangka, Banyak Islands, Batu Islands, Bengkalis, Enggano, Ko Lanta, Ko Tarutao, Langkawi, Mendol, Mentawai Islands, Meranti Islands, Nias, Penang, Phuket, Riau Islands, Rupat, Tawi-Tawi, and possibly Wowoni.
